Cut & Sewn versus Molded Carpet

Most carpet applications prior to 1960 are Cut & Sewn, however, we do have tooling that can mold certain older vehicle carpets. Unfortunately, because this changes on a regular basis, we have our website set to say every year and model can be made in a custom mold. Please call or send an email to verify if the carpet you are wanting is truly a molded carpet.

80/20 Loop

80/20 Loop carpet is designed to match the carpets used in most american vehicles from the 50s to 1973.
80/20 Loop can be specified for 1974 and later vehicles as well, but returns will not be allowed.
The only carpet in the industry tufted from 80% Rayon and 20% Nylon.
Tufted to a 5/32 gauge loop and contains 24 ounces of yarn per square yard.
Dyed using the finest dyes available and tested for ozone humidity fading and light fastness.
Comes in 72" widths and can be rubber latex or polyethylene backed.

Cutpile

Cutpile carpet is similar to what is found in most american vehicles since 1974.
In some cases its pile height is not as high as OEM.
Cutpile can be specified for just about any model vehicle.
Our Nylon cut pile is constructed from 100% first quality Dupont® yarn.
Tufted on a 1/8 gauge machine with 14 ounces of yarn per square yard.
Dyed using the finest dyes available and tested for ozone humidity fading and light fastness.
Also comes in 72" widths and can be rubber latex or polyethylene backed.

Daytona

The face yarn of the Daytona carpet is 100% nylon.
The backing yarn is 30% Nylon, 40% cotton and 30% Rayon.
The total weight is 28 ounces per square yard with foam backing.
The Daytona carpet is 54" wide and is available in foam back only.
The Daytona carpet can only be used in cut and sew applications. It cannot be molded.

Gros Point is a high-end carpet made of 100% Nylon that has the appearance of fine embroidery.
It was developed specifically for early model classic muscle and full size passenger cars built in the 50s and the 60s.

Truvette

Truvette is the most plush carpet available.
This carpet is 100% solution dyed Nylon.
Simply stated, the yarn is manufactured to a specific color and does not require dying.
Tufted on a 1/10 gauge machine, which gives it the plush look and feel.
Truvette contains 14 ounces of material per square yard.
It is tufted into 72" rolls and can be heavy rubber latex or polyethylene backed.

Tuxedo

Tuxedo is constructed by twisting an Olefin® filament yarn into our 80/20 Rayon/Nylon Blend Loop yarn.
The material is then tufted on a 5/32 gauge loop machine and dyed in a beck dye operation.
Because the Olefin yarn does not take dye and remains black it gives the carpet the elegant look that inspired the name "Tuxedo".
This carpet comes in 52" widths and can be heavy rubber latex or polyethylene backed.
